The government portal has made a few more enhancements to the GSTR1/IFF filing experience. We wanted to bring you up to speed so that you’re better prepared for the upcoming filing cycle.
Here is a summary of the changes made in this phase of GSTR-1/IFF improvement:
The earlier two-step filing process of GSTR-1/IFF i.e. first ‘Submit’ and then ‘File’ is now reduced to just one step i.e. ‘File Statement’. While earlier no change in data could be made once the submit button was pressed, taxpayers will now have the flexibility to add or modify records till the ‘File Statement’ button is pressed.
The existing filing steps of form GSTR-1/IFF shall be replaced with the new flow on the government
Revised steps to file GSTR-1 on the government portal:
i.) Click on the ‘Generate Summary’ button to generate the summary
ii.) Click on the ‘Proceed to File/Summary to view the final summary before filing
iii.) Click on the ‘File Statement’ button to file GSTR-1/IFF.
iv.) Click on ‘File with DSC or EVC’
